Brighton's legendary 80s party It is still 1985 is planning an epic return when restrictions ease this summer.
It Is Still 1985 has brought an unadulterated burst of pure 80s joy to Brighton each and every Saturday for more than 12 years. After 2 years at New Hero (R.I.P), 8 years at The Haunt (R.I.P.) in August 2019 the legendary 80s party It is still 1985 started an exciting new chapter at The Green Door Store. Since the move the night has been more fun than we could ever have imagined, with an uninhibited super friendly crowd creating the best atmosphere in the entire 12 year history of the night, and indeed in the whole city, but then, along came Covid...
With the planned ending of Coronavirus restrictions we are putting together our greatest summer of parties ever with TWO welcome back launch parties, a special one off celebration on the day restrictions ease (Monday June 21st) and our first night back in our in our regular Saturday night slot on the first Saturday night of freedom (Saturday June 26th) both at our beloved Green Door Store. The atmosphere will be electric when we can for the first time in more than a year dance, hug and power grab the air at the first unconstrained outings for the Brighton 80s institution that is It Is Still 1985.
Get ready for a footloose journey into the Sony Walkman of Patrick Bateman. Like stepping into a John Hughes movie 'It is still 1985' captures the feeling of the decade that brought you legitimately great & legitimately terrible pop music all in one epic party featuring the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Phil Collins, Fleetwood Mac, Kenny Loggins, Huey Lewis & The News, Kate Bush, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Prince, The Cure Talking Heads, Wham!, David Bowie, Hall & Oates and more...
Join us in our favourite party space in Brighton The Green Door Store, located just underneath Brighton train station as we once again party like It Is Still 1985.
